About Dr. Botte:
Dr. Botte is the Director of CEProTECH and the Founding Director of the Center for Electrochemical Engineering Research at OHIO.  She is the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, a Charter Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors, and a Fellow of the World Technology Network. She is also the elected Chair of the Industrial Electrochemistry and Electrochemical Engineering Division of the Electrochemical Society. In 1994, Dr. Botte obtained her BS in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Carabobo in Venezuela, her native country.  She earned her Master of Engineering (1998) and PhD (2000) in Chemical Engineering both from the University of South Carolina. Before attending graduate school, Dr. Botte worked as a process engineer in a Petrochemical Complex where she was involved in the synthesis of fertilizers and polymers.

About Daramola:

Damilola Daramola has been at Ohio University since 2000 in varying capacities including both undergraduate and graduate studies in chemical and biomolecular engineering. Daramola has also been involved in other extra-curricular activities at the Russ College – as a Robe Leadership Institute Scholar, a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and Theta Tau. Daramola’s research interests lie where quantum chemistry, material science, and reaction engineering intersect, and he is currently leveraging his technical expertise to connect the Center’s value proposition with the needs of government and industrial entities. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science (2004) and PhD (2011) in Chemical Engineering both from Ohio University.

About Melissa:
Mrs. Francis is responsible for assisting the Center Director with the Operation, Communications, and Marketing activities of the Center.  She has been with OHIO since March 2016.  Mrs. Francis received an AAS in Management Technology with concentrations in Accounting and Business Administration.
